Extraction

A tooth should be always saved unless and until it is not in a state to be restored or in proper function. We believe in saving a tooth but extraction(removal of tooth) is done when a tooth is unhealthy or badly damaged due to caries.

Sometimes extraction of wisdom tooth is must as they may cause recurrent infection in the tooth or around the gums.In orthodontics extraction of premolar are carried out in the cases who have crowded teeth or who have smaller jaw sizes, to gain space for the correction of the position of the teeth.

Extraction is a simple procedure which can be carried out quickly and easily by using local anesthetic injections, these injections temporarily blocks pain and sensations but mechanical and mannual forces can be felt, but whereas in removal of impacted wisdom tooth requires surgical intervention where the bone around the tooth has to be cut and stiches are also placed.
